Dear Merchant,
My name is Horace Ketchens and I am President and Executive Director of the D’Arbonne BBQ Festival. We are hosting the D’Arbonne BBQ Festival and Louisiana State BBQ Championship Cook-off on May 25th and 26th, 2007 and would like to invite you to become part of the BBQ Festival as a Co-Sponsor and help make this family event a success. We have received word from area legislators that they are introducing a resolution making this a State Championship Cook-off during the next legislative session. This will be a yearly event and we are expecting this event to bring 10,000 plus visitors.


The D’Arbonne BBQ Festival will have an economic impact within a 50 to 100 mile radius of Farmerville, Louisiana and this will be a great opportunity for your business to be show cased during the event. We have several sponsorship levels and we are sure we have one that will work for your business.
We would like to extend an invitation to have you and your business become a sponsor for the BBQ Festival. Our goal is to have all sponsors signed up no later than April 17th, 2007. There will be someone contacting you soon to ask for your sponsorship. But, you don’t have to wait for them to contact you. If you would like to go ahead and sign up, please call me at the phone number above and someone will come to you right away.


This event is our largest fundraiser of the year and will help support the non-profit organizations in our community. A few of those programs are DART of Union Parish, Cheerful Givers of La., Union Triad, Farmerville Lions Club, just to name a few. Each year a committee will choose the non-profits that will benefit from the D’Arbonne BBQ Festival. Your sponsorship will allow us to offer better prizes to the BBQ Competition Cookers and help area non-profits raise much-needed funds for their respective organizations.
Some of the Activities that will be at the festival are a nationally sanctioned BBQ Competition, Arts and Crafts, a Backyard BBQ Competition for local and regional amateur cookers, Food Vendors, Live Music, and a street dance scheduled for Friday night.


There will be a Business Challenge BBQ Cook-off for local and regional businesses to showcase their cooking teams. Last but not least some of the Greatest BBQ you have ever eaten. We will have teams travel from across the nation. We have confirmed at least three National Championship Teams and Several State Championship Teams will attend this event.

    Exposure at the Festival
    • Recognition with a banner in the area your company is sponsoring (Grand Champion BBQ Team).
    • Your company announced as sponsor of certain event. Grand Champion and Reserve Champion sponsors
    will be announced when the prize and trophy is presented to the winner of the event. A company representative may present the prize to the winner.
    • Logo recognition on main BBQ event banner
    • Placement of YOUR 4x6 foot supplied corporate banner (2 maximum) one close to the announce area for winners. Placement of 2 2x3 foot banners that we provide with your logo and information placed around the BBQ fest site.
    • Recognition in the program provided to vendors and festival-goers.

    Exposure in the Community / Nationally!
    • Recognition on ALL press releases sent out by the D’Arbonne BBQ Fest office.
    • Recognition in ALL D’Arbonne Fest newsletters and other printed material through April. Logo / Name will also be on the D’Arbonne BBQ Fest T-shirts and Aprons. These will be given to each competitor and will be sold to the public before and during D’Arbonne BBQ Fest.

    • Your company announced as sponsor of certain event. Grand Champion and Reserve Champion sponsors

    Adopt-A-Team Sponsorship - $500.00 Level* (Our Choice of Team)

    • The company logo will appear on main BBQ event banner. You may provide 2 - 2x3 banner, one to be placed by the sponsored teams cook site and one to be located elsewhere (our Choice) on the BBQ Fest site.
    If your team wins you will be named as a sponsor of the team.
    • Recognition in the program provided to vendors and festival-goers.

    Exposure in the Community

    Entertainment Sponsorship - $500.00*

    There will be a limit of 2 sponsors per band. This will provide you with the maximum amount of exposure at the Event. We are hoping to have bands playing throughout the 2 day event. Bands sponsored will be determined by the BBQ event staff. You may state preference of type of band you would like to sponsor and we will do our best to accommodate your sponsorship be for that type band. There will be other entertainment besides bands. There will be events for Children.

    Exposure at the Festival
    • Recognition with a banner on each side of the bandstand area your company is sponsoring (the band that is playing that you sponsor.
    • Your company announced as sponsor of certain Band.
    • Logo recognition on main BBQ event banner
    • Recognition in the program provided to vendors and festival-goers.

    Exposure in the Community / Nationally!
    • Recognition on ALL press releases sent out by the D’Arbonne BBQ Fest office.
    • Recognition in ALL D’Arbonne Fest newsletters and other printed material through April.
    Nationally Your LOGO and/or Company Name will be on all printed materials with band information. Also your logo will be placed in all Print advertising. You will be listed in all news releases, Print, Radio, and TV.

    In Kind Sponsorship:
    This level of sponsorship is available for anyone that would like to sponsor the D’Arbonne BBQ Fest and Louisiana State Championship BBQ Cook-off. This is open to Businesses as well as Individual Sponsors. You may also donate materials / items needed for the event. Just ask the D’Arbonne BBQ Fest Representative for list of items needed. Arrangements will be made to pick up large items.

    Other / Individual Sponsorship:
    This level of sponsorship is open to anyone that wants sponsor the D’Arbonne BBQ Fest and Louisiana State Championship BBQ Cook-off. But really don’t want to sponsor any of the above events or would like to sponsor with a different dollar amount. The sponsorship may be more or less than the above levels.

    Exposure at the Festival. In the Community / Nationally!
    Depending on the amount of sponsorship $50.00 up to the $250.00 will have their name placed on T-Shirts and the Event Banner.


    *Grand Champion and Reserve Champion limited to TWO sponsors each. No limit in other categories.

All Sponsorships must be paid by March 31, 2007!! No exceptions will be made since this is the last day for ALL logos and printed materials to be submitted to our printers for the Banners, Aprons, T-shirts, etc.

We are a 501c3 not-for-profit event so all donations that you make are fully tax deductible. ALL funds donated to the D’Arbonne BBQ Fest are used solely for the event and any additional proceeds are returned to local charities and other not-for-profit organizations.
